Dr. Wesley Thomas, Jr.
CANDIDATE STATEMENT
The KVHD motto is "We Care for You." If elected, I intend to focus on the word "Care" by expediting the filling of prescriptions, the time it takes to O.K. a prescription by the doctor, the waiting time for appointments as well as ending the elder abuse that had occurred at our local hospital. The bottom line is that we NEED accountability at all levels and a "checks and balances" in providing quality healthcare and safety for all patients.
Respectfully submitted, Dr. Wesley S. Thomas, Jr.
Answers to Questions
Where do you see the hospital 10 years from now? 20 years?
1. The key to future healthcare lies in sound information technology, and our healthcare must keep up with this digital age, by creating electronic prescription drug systems and centrally networked software systems, including employee performance appraisal software to name a few.
The hospital is a "public healthcare district", how would you define that to the community"

3. The job of a KVHD Board Member is to be knowledgeable about and willing to become educated about hospital and healthcare matters. The Board Member must possess the skills and education to "completely" consider the issues at hand that fall within the jurisdiction of the Board and meet such other qualifications that are established by the KVHD Board.
How much time can you devote to this endeavor if you are elected?
4. Since I am semi-retired, I could devote as much time to the KVHD Board as necessary.

Why do the other candidates have a photo and this candidate does not? What is this candidates right to have the term "Doctor" in front of his name? What are his qualifications for running for this office? What is his history with medical care beyond his wife working at Doc Gross' office? What is he retired from? Please give us more information plus a photo of him, not a flag with writing obscurred on it. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWhy have we not had corrections to this guys bid for the Board of Trustees; are we to elect someone who won't show his photo, or answer questions as to his "title"....if he is so smart, why can't he elaborate on the questions, why does he avoid the questions and make blanket statements? I agree with Oct. 2nd comment, give us more information..what is his relationship with Board Member Doc Gross?
ReplyDeleteThe question for Doctor Wesley Thomas is are you for it or against it you never said on the tax bond. The hospital needs new computer technology how can they get that money? He sounds intelligent but he doesn't tell us about the taxes. We won't vote for the ones who want a bail out.
