At our June board meeting there was an Ad Hoc comittee formed at the direction of chairwoman, Kay Knight, to create some actual by-laws for the district.
Just to let you know the by-laws are created by the board for the district based on state laws such as the health care district laws.
For Instance, Mrs. Swendleson, the question as to nepotism would really not be of concern as the board has to follow current practices. They cannot create their own laws, (though they never seem to follow these laws), they can make it stronger but not weaker.
But they have to make their own by-laws to supposedly look like they are upstanding.
However, Mr. Jamison, was quite concerned about the Ad Hoc and spit committee, as he was on the board along with Mr. Armstrong and even legal eagle, Scott Nave, and they what?
They didn't actually create a set of by-laws. You have to ratify and sign them. So, the KVHD hospital has been running on supposition for three years.
Now there will be a committee who will look over these laws and possibly sign them and deliver the goods.
Lawlessness, was probably what they were looking for, and they sure did it, for many years.
From what I gather our new CEO, Tim McGlew, will be on the committee along with chairwoman, Kay Knight, Secretary, Victoria Alwin, Scott Nave, and I believe the final member is my favorite criminal, Chet Beedle.
We will find out when they have the first meeting and take a look at the law menu they will be selecting from.
